Queen Sensation - Nayanthara : The Box Office Queen of South India

Nayanthara is a member of more than 700 crores in three languages, in 2019. While fans of Ajith and Vijay are fighting over the box-office figures of Viswasam and Bigil, the common factor in both these mega blockbusters is Nayanthara! 

2019 started on a positive note with Viswasam for the Lady Superstar who was paired opposite Thala Ajith in the film. This family entertainer grossed more than Rs 195 crore at the box office and all parties involved, made good profits.

It was also a year when female centric films did not do well at the box-office and Nayan's Airaa  too fizzled out. But her Malayalam film Love Action Drama turned out to be a winner at the box-office. 

And in Telugu, Nayanthara paired opposite Mega Star Chiranjeevi in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy which grossed more than Rs 200 crores at the box office.It was also a sort of comeback for Nayan in Tollywood.

However, her biggest success turned out to be Bigil with Thalapathy Vijay. It is the biggest box office grosser for Nayanthara. Featuring Thalapathy Vijay in a dual role, the Lady Superstar was paired opposite him and had good screen space inspite of the film being a subject on women football team. The film grossed more than Rs 300 crores at the box office and thus became her career-best performer in the ticket window. 

2020 Also Bursts with a bang for Nayanthara with 'Darbar' in which she is sharing screen space with Superstar Rajinikanth.

It Collects more than 200 crores in Box Office. She will number One in 2020 too.

Nayan also has religious satire Mookuthi Amman and thriller Netrikann in the pipeline. We wish her all the best for her success.

RJ Balaji on Thursday took to Twitter to share glimpses from the sets of his directorial debut Mookuthi Amman. The pictures feature South superstar Nayanthara, who is playing the titular role in the upcoming film. The movie was slated to release in the month of May but the same has been deferred due to the pandemic. Balaji is jointly directing the film with N J Saravanan.
